Community Engagement

There is real power in collaboration, especially when committed community members work together toward a shared goal. Effective community engagement builds pride and strengthens connections among residents, businesses, faith communities and local nonprofits.

Strong partnerships keep community priorities visible and supported. BBF brings together neighborhood resources to foster cooperation that benefits not only North Lawndale but all who seek our services.

BBF hosts several public events, including our popular Summer Block Series and we actively collaborate with:

• Chicago Public Schools
• Chicago Park
• DistrictCommunity-Based Organizations
• Local Churches
• The City of Chicago

BBF is also a member of the North Lawndale Restorative Justice Hub, The North Lawndale Community Coordinating Council, and a partner to numerous local and national organizations. Together, we provide a network of services that enhance the quality of life for the entire community.
